China is a huge country, with more than 100 cities that have a population of over 1 million! China's cities are split into "tiers" with first tier cities being developed to a similar standard as in Western countries. These are Beijing, Shenzhen, Shanghai and Guangzhou.
Second tier cities are just behind first tiers. They have smaller populations and a smaller GDP, but have all the other benefits of living in a big Chinese city: lots of options for entertainment, a sizeable expat population, highly developed transport systems and first-class health care and education. There are 10 second-tier cities in China, each with their own unique character.
There are many options for which city to work in and your choice can be influenced by lots of things: your preference for living in a big city or a smaller city, the weather, your hobbies, etc. If you're confused by the abundance of choice, get in touch and we can discuss it with you and find you the perfect working location.
